This Privacy Policy describes how Omagle ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use https://omagle.online. By using the service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide the service:

Anonymous User ID: A randomly generated UUID created in your browser (stored locally). We never ask for your name or email.
Gender preference: Optionally provided for matching purposes.
Premium status: Whether you have an active paid subscription.
Usage data: Number of chats per day (for enforcing free-tier limits).
Payment information: If you purchase Premium, payment is processed by Instamojo. We do not store your card or bank details.

2. Video & Chat Data

Video and text chat sessions use peer-to-peer WebRTC encryption directly between users. We do not record, store, or monitor video or text chat content. Once a session ends, no chat data is retained on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

To match you with other users for video chat.
To enforce daily chat limits for free-tier users.
To manage Premium subscriptions and payment verification.
To improve the performance and reliability of the platform.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your anonymous user ID and preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

5. Third-Party Services

Instamojo — payment processing. Subject to Instamojo's Privacy Policy.
MongoDB Atlas — database hosting (stores only anonymous user IDs and premium status).
Render — backend server hosting.
Vercel — frontend hosting.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous user records are retained for as long as necessary to manage your Premium subscription. Non-premium anonymous IDs may be deleted after 90 days of inactivity. No chat content is ever stored.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Omagle is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us at support@omagle.online and we will delete any associated data immediately.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to processing of your data.

Since we only store an anonymous UUID, there is no personally identifiable data associated with your account. To request deletion, contact us at support@omagle.online.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. All video connections are WebRTC encrypted (DTLS-SRTP). However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
